The Castle Open day was  not just well attended by visitors, it was also well attended by Clan Members. It was good to see so many members turn up to help  make the day a success. The names of the Clan Members that helped or turned up to support the day are listed below:

290 visitors viewed the  castle and gardens between 11am and 4pm on the day, the visitors  showed great interest in the castle and it’s excellent  condition. We gained 3 new members during the day, all from  Kilmarnock. John Hunter and Elsie Hunter joined using the joint  membership option, the photo below is of John & Sheila Hunter and their family from Kilmarnock with Madam Pauline.

The Isle of Cumbrae Pipe Band played 2 sets, they paraded from  the back of the castle round to the front and then down the  central drive. Everybody greatly enjoyed the band’s playing, at the end a lone piper played Amazing Grace from the parapets of  the Castle.
