Burkes Peerage publish the History of a Hunting Dynasty in their On-Line Magazine. This was arranged by Robert Hunter the Clan Officer for the UK and Madam Pauline Hunter the 30th Laird and Clan Chief.

Web  site links have also been exchanged with Burkes Peerage increasing the  profile of Clan Hunter. This was arranged by Peter Hunter Membership Secretary and Web Master for the UK Association, and Robert Hunter the Clan Officer for the UK.

Madam  Pauline continues her support of the Killie Cheerleaders by handing over a cheque to the girls at Hunterston Castle . This will allow the girls to continue their practice sessions. Kilmarnock Football Club and the Kilmarnock Cheerleaders give Madam Pauline a big thank you for her support.

Sad  Loss of Bert Hunter
Clan Officer for Australia

It is with tremendous sadness that I have to inform you of the passing of one of our most valued Clan Officers. Bert Hunter, Clan Officer for Australia. I know that you will all join with me in sending our most sincere condolences to his wife, Claire, and his children.

Bert has been Clan Officer for Australia since the inception of the Hunter Clan Association in Australia. He was the recipient of the Order of the Royal Huntsman for his valiant services to Clan Hunter.

Bert was a very well respected and active member of the Scottish Australians in Sydney and always with Claire at his side.

At the last Clan Gathering at Hunterston in 2001,  Bert was a font of strength and support. Many of you who attended will  remember him with warm affection. I shall always remember Bert with great gratitude and fondness. It has been a great pleasure and honour to have  had him as my Clan Officer for Australia.
