OBITUARY

ELEONORA HUNTER OF HUNTERSTON, the 28th Laird

ELEONORA HUNTER OF HUNTERSTON, the 28th Laird died peacefully at the end of December 1983.

Born in 1899, she saw many changes in her lifetime. Known to the family as 'Aunt Nora' she is fondly remembered by all of us as a quiet, patient, and strong person, with a quick sense of humour. She managed

the farm and estate most carefully for nearly 15 years. Saddened by the. beginning of industrial development on the farm, she quickly overcame this and made close friends with the new neighbours. She will be sadly missed.
