Two Hunters

A couple of Hunters are out in the woods when one of them falls to the ground .He doesn't seem to be breathing , his eyes are rolled back in his head .His companion whips out his mobile phone and dials 999 The operator quickly answers and asks “what's` wrong” ? The guy gasps out “my friend is dead “.The operator in a calm soothing voice says; Just take it easy .I can help . First, let's make sure he's dead” there is a silence , then a shot is heard .The guy's voice comes back on the line .He says; ok, now what?”.

Can anyone help me ? I am searching for Francis Hunter, the third Son of Patrick Hunter

19th. Laird of Hunterston. Francis was born about 1615. He had two Older brothers ,Robert and Henry

and a Younger sister Jean.

No record has been found of his baptism or

Marriage. He may have studied at Glasgow

University around 1635.

Francis is the vital link between the ancestral

Line of the Hunters of Hunterston and the

Hunters of Long Calderwood . the family

of the two famous 18th. Century surgeons

William and John Hunter.

Council Nominations A G. M 2004

There will be changes in the council, come April 24th. I personally will be coming to the end of my term as Clan Officer. I will have completed three years, or , four years, if you include the unofficial first year. Also, I will be coming to the end of my three years as Clan Councillor there will be three vacancies in total .AII candidates for these positions will be considered, and the new Officers will be elected by the council.

An extra four months, will added on to the Clan Officers term as a handing over period his to enable the new man a smooth start.

Office of Editor "The Hunter's Tryst" makes three

for re - election .The former Editor Bill Hunter esq. has retired from this post, but he will continue in his present office as Publisher of the news letter.
